A job, from the first call to the last joint
The room and the base set the sequence. We talk through both before setting tile.
How the work runs
Based on Old Ranch Parkway in Seal Beach.
First, the room
Tell us which room is changing, its approximate size and the tile you are considering. A few photographs can help us understand the request, but they do not replace checking the substrate. We look at access, existing finishes, water, transitions and the work that other trades need to complete.
A written scope
Preparation, tile, grout and cure time belong in the same conversation. We identify what can be seen and what remains unknown until removal. The estimate should distinguish demolition, leveling, waterproofing, setting and exclusions, so a concealed problem is not disguised as finish work.
Before the first tile
We protect the room and check the surface. A shower needs a compatible waterproofing system and a test where required. A floor needs a sound base, flatness appropriate to the tile and a plan for movement. Then we establish the layout, balance visible cuts and confirm the joints.
The finish and the handoff
Mortar coverage, alignment and clean joints are checked during setting. Grout and flexible joints do different jobs. Sealer is used only where the selected material calls for it. The final conversation covers care, cure restrictions and the sequence for returning the room to use.
