Bold gray veining crosses the light walls of this shower and bathroom. Small mosaic pieces define the shower floor and a wall accent, while a darker veined floor continues into the rest of the room. The pictures show the same shower opening, feature tile and floor from separate positions. A step and change in floor material mark the transition into the shower, giving the eye a clear division between wet and dry zones.
A finished wall does not reveal what is behind it. In a comparable bathroom, the choice of backer and waterproofing should be made as one system, with its seams, corners and penetrations treated according to the manufacturer's instructions. Wet areas need a continuous water-management layer; grout by itself does not provide that protection. The archive does not identify the system used in this room.
Layout starts with the features that draw the eye: a niche, the fixture wall, a window or the edge of the enclosure. Before setting, an installer can check how the courses meet at those points and where the cuts will fall. A balanced arrangement often matters more than making every cut the same size. The photos do not record exact tile dimensions.
If the work includes a tiled shower floor, the support below it and the finished tile need a slope appropriate to the drain assembly. Smaller mosaic pieces can accommodate a sloping surface differently from broad tiles. Movement at changes of plane, penetrations and perimeter edges also needs a suitable detail. The visible finish alone cannot establish how any of these elements were built.
The apparent grout shade in a photograph can change with lighting, and a narrow line does not reveal its exact width. For that reason the job sheet does not name a grout product. Care also depends on the chosen tile and grout: use their manufacturers' cleaning directions, and ask whether sealing is recommended for those particular materials before applying a sealer.
